What am I doing?

Hello folks, how are you doing out there? Lately, I got quite a shock. On Monday my iPhone sent me the following message: “Hello, your screen time last week was 4 hours and 30 minutes per day.”

I opened my eyes, widely, and looked again. But stats don’t lie, I interacted in one way or another with my phone over 4 hours a day. What the actual heck? What am I doing? Do I live inside my phone?

There is some entertainment in this screen-time, like listening to an audiobook before sleep or listening to music outdoors. Still, this is an alarming number for me. What a nice product Apple has designed, which is able to bind a customer for 4 hours a day. Should I go all in on the Apple stock with this information? But that is another topic.

Because I am a fan of positivity and solutions, I try to use this screen time message to my advantage. Every time I don’t want to work out, which takes 15- 20 minutes of my time. I say to myself:

“You have 4:30h screen time, and you don’t have 15 minutes to work out? ” “Are you an employee, of Apple, right now?” “I didn’t see any check coming in.”

I use the same technic when I am too lazy to clean up my room.

With this stat, I can’t bullshit myself, I have the time to take care of myself and my surrounding. Thank you for that, Apple.
I am wondering how much screen time do you have? Do you think it is a problem? Or do you think: Screw it, I need my phone.
