Taking One Year Off
Hey guys, I made a decision: I want to use the next year to study. Seven months ago I started to learn programming, and now I want to focus the whole next year on that.
Fortunately, I have one year of fixed expenses saved up, investing that in my education feels like the right thing to do. I have never worked in that field or made any money with it. But you never know before you try, I guess.
My dream would be to work remotely on my computer. So far, I have a lot of fun to learn programming, but it is also very overwhelming. At the moment, it is hard to estimate how it will turn out.
But what is the worst thing that can happen? Firstly, I could find out that it is not possible for me to work in this field. Secondly, some money will be gone. I think both isn’t dramatic or life-threatening. I see it more as a chance to grow.
Since I am sober, I became more self-confident. I am trusting my intuition, and it feels like the right thing to do. I will keep you updated on this journey, wish me luck, and let’s go!
