Hey guys, lately I read about productivity and mindset on the internet. I got one cool journaling technique out of that. I find it very helpful and useful, and I want to share with you today.
Every day before I go to bed, I reflect on my day and use the following journaling technique:
It is only allowed to write down what you did well on this day.
It doesn’t matter how small or unimportant this action seems to you. Think back on the day, you will find some activity that you did well. Don’t be too critical, take anything and write.
I am proud that I accomplished that today.
It feels like bullshitting myself from time to time, but who cares as long as it helps. We tend to forget very fast what we did well and dwell on all our shortcomings. And anyway who decides what we did well or not. Mostly that are our own anticipations and hopes of a perfect world. Which probably will never come true.
I find this writing helps me to stay positive about myself and my actions. Even if I did not turn around the world today, I will find something positive to write about my accomplishments.
One other benefit of this journaling is, you start a positive cycle that can help with staying at a hard task.
We choose our feelings, so we can choose to feel great about ourselves at least once a day.
Stay strong, my friends, and see you the next time.
